Our Story

Charter:  From This Rock, Inc. was established in May of 2024 to address humanitarian aid (accessible clean water, facilities and supplies for proper healthcare, funding and promoting education) for communities in need.  This nonprofit organization will support domestic and international aid.

Our first project is to build a well for the people in Nkerefi.
Our first goal is to raise $20,000 to fund this project.

Meet the Board

Fr Gabriel Chukwu

Director

Gabriel Chukwu was born and raised in Nkerefi, Nigeria.  He was ordained a priest on July 4, 2015. He received his Master of Arts in Theology and Ministry from Boston College Clough School of Theology and Ministry, Brighton, MA on May of 2024 and as of Feb 2024 he serves as a parochial vicar with the Quincy Catholic Collaborative’s Divine Mercy Parish in Quincy, MA.

John Kreeft

Member

John lives in Wilmington, MA. He worked as an aviation college professor for 13 years. He is currently completing his 15th year as a captain for a regional airline. John also teaches an aviation kids camp, a college course on drones, and is one of the founding members of From This Rock.

George Kokovidis

President

George was born in Katerini, Greece and currently resides in Waltham, MA. He is married and the father of two children. George is an electrical engineer working for a medical electronics company for over 30 years. He is one of the founding members of From This Rock.

Mercy Enemchukwu

Member

Mercy Enemchukwu is a doctorate Nurse Practitioner and a consultant with Point32Health. She was born in Nigeria, is married,and has been a Waltham resident for the past 32 years.

Rich Profita

Clerk

Rich is a resident of Waltham, MA.  He attended the Berklee College of Music and has been employed with the Waltham Public School System for 29 years.  Rich is a lifelong drummer and moonlights as a DJ.  He is a devout Christian and a founding member of From This Rock.

Blessing Ajaero

Member

Blessing Ajaero is a multidisciplinarian that dabbles in the arts, community organizing, entrepreneurship, social justice, and other fields of interest. Blessing is an enthusiastic advocate for potable water in her family’s homeland. She encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and the sharing of resources for the betterment of all humanity–we are all interconnected and interdependent, and we all benefit from helping one another.

Judy Pulsone

Treasurer

Judy was born and raised in Waltham, MA.  She is married and the mother of six children.  Currently, Judy works as an accountant for Marathon Sports and is a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Waltham, MA.  During her free time, she founded and currently serves as the treasurer of From This Rock.
